Dear Friends, I was facing a weird problem after installing CorelDraw X3 in Windows 10. By default CorelDraw version X3 (i.e.13) is not directly supported by Windows 10, but managed to install it on Windows 10 as per the client’s request. If you want to know how to do that I will post another blog post on how to do it. But the problem started after installation Windows start button was not working even Cortana, Working, Cortana, Edge, Wifi unable to work.

This is one of the one of a known problem in Windows 10 last time I had the same issue and was solved by reinstalling Windows Apps by again Powershell command as below

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

This time has googled but none of the solutions worked for me I am using Windows 10 2004 update (i.e. 20h2).

The common solutions are to this problem are by running PowerShell with Administrative privileges 1) sfc /scannow &  2) DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth commands.

But doesn’t worked. Finally, I found the solution by editing the registry by regedit command by right-clicking the start menu and selecting Run command OR you can use Windows key + R

Type regedit

Registry Editor will open

Right-click on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and select Permissions, now you will see you have only two users groups.

We need to add one more user’s group to that click on the Add button. You will see Select Users or Groups box

Click on the advanced button

Click on Find Now button

Select ALL APPLICATION PACKAGE group and click OK, set permission for ALL APPLICATION PACKAGE to

Apply and OK, now you need to restart your computer. The start button starts working. But now WiFi was not working so I have to go to Windows Services change the WLAN services setting here is a link on how to do that. ….

Thank you.
